Health Tech Startup
I joined a health tech startup as a Software Engineering Manager, leading teams, hiring and mentoring engineers, creating clear ownership, and helping make technical plans legible across engineering, product, and the business.
After a reorganization, I shifted into high-leverage individual-contributor work. The shape of the role changed, but the leadership did not: I took end-to-end ownership of assessment products and continued as a de facto frontend technical leader through architecture guidance, implementation planning, shared patterns, reviews, and mentorship.
I helped re-architect the assessment platform so new verticals could be launched rapidly without duplicating the underlying system. The platform direction also supports cross-vertical experiences, enterprise customization, and headless integrations.
I built experimentation infrastructure with GrowthBook and Segment, creating a consistent path from product hypothesis to experiment and event data. I also established a shared reporting and metrics framework so engineers and AI agents can investigate behavior using the same definitions and context.
Across the organization, I focus on engineering leverage: improving CI/CD, tests, documentation, knowledge sharing, and AI-assisted development tooling so good decisions and reliable delivery become easier to repeat.
